The 2007 survey also asked about CAM use in a sample of 9,417 children; 1 percent (representing 725,000 children) had used meditation in the past 12 months.</p>

<p>Get&#8217;s kinda boring doesn&#8217;t it?</p>
<p>Ever wish that ride could be different?</p>
<p>The other day I took the incredible journey of <strong>1000 hands</strong> <strong>clapping,</strong> and guess what, I didn&#8217;t even leave my office.</p>
<p>As you know, I am a hypnotist, and have put together some pretty good meditation audio&#8217;s that many people have written back and told me in testimonials how the audio&#8217;s have helped them fall asleep, reduced their stress, even have built up their confidence.</p>
<p>But this journey I took the other day was courtesy of Lawrence Ball and his <strong>1000 Hands Clapping Audio</strong> blew me away!</p>
<p>You see, Lawrence is a musical renaissance man; composing, performing and improvising his often meditative, sometimes mathematical music. He has performed in 11 countries, and has collaborated on 3 projects with Pete Townshend, including a double album “Method Music” due to be released on Navona Records fall of 2010.</p>

There are increased demands placed on your time, your patience, and your wallet. How to make the most out of the holidays without letting yourself down could be the biggest challenge you face this season.</p>

<p><strong>Take Time for Yourself</strong></p>
<p>* Try making a schedule, and figure out how best to maximize your time.<br />
* Learn how to say “no” to commitments that you don&#8217;t think you can manage.<br />
* Relax, take a walk, collect your thoughts.<br />
* Reflect on what the holidays mean to you personally.<br />
* Exercise three times a week.</p>
<p>“Fattening food is everywhere, and at every party there’s so much alcohol.”</p>
<p><strong>You Can Party—Healthfully</strong></p>
<p>Be mindful that high fat, high sugar foods can cause depression, and/or hyperactive, stressful behaviors in some people. According to the International Center for Nutritional Research, eating a lot of sugar and fats and increasing alcohol consumption may cause illness (diarrhea) and vitamin deficiencies. Instead, try to eat fiber-full foods such as fresh vegetables, salads, and fruit; consume smaller portions of protein; drink a lot of water; reduce alcohol consumption; and allow at least 3 hours after eating before going to bed.</p>
<p>When hosting a gathering, make healthful food and drink alternatives available to your guests.</p>
<p>Salsa is a great substitute for cheese dip or sour cream, sorbet beats ice cream, and ginger ale and sparkling cider are festive holiday beverages. Plan games and activities for your guests, and be quick to make introductions. As a guest, reach for pretzels and sliced veggies, not chips.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>We all know that the holiday season can be stressful. <a title="Mind Vacation Meditation" href="http://mindvacationmeditation.com" target="_blank">Stress</a> can be felt as a physical or emotional reaction to demanding situations – even those situations we think of as pleasant or positive, like a promotion or vacation. A certain amount of daily stress is normal and even necessary. However, ongoing, non-remitting, or excessive stress, either positive or negative, can result in fatigue, burnout, and even depression.</p>
<p><strong>Symptoms of Stress</strong></p>
<p>Learning to recognize the symptoms of stress is the first step in effectively managing it. Some signals that will alert you to excessive stress include:</p>
<ul>
<li> * Difficulty <a title="Sleep Secret Audio" href="http://www.sleepsecretaudio.com" target="_blank">sleeping</a></li>
<li> * Irritability or moodiness</li>
<li> * Decreased satisfaction with tasks</li>
<li> * Persistent feeling of urgency</li>

<li> * Tension headaches, backaches, stomachaches or other physical discomforts</li>

<li> * Identify the messages you give yourself. Focus on what you can do rather than your limitations. Be positive.</li>
<li> * Try deep muscle relaxation. Start by tensing your shoulders for about 10 seconds. Slowly release the tension and you will begin to feel your muscles relax. Try this exercise for all major muscle areas from your shoulders to your feet.</li>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span style="color: #000000;">If you are having a difficult time <a title="Sleep Secret Audio" href="http://www.sleepsecretaudio.com" target="_blank">sleeping</a> because you can&#8217;t seem to get stressful situations off of your mind, this can certainly be a frustrating thing to go through.  For some of us, it is a matter of not being able to go to sleep at all because we toss and turn, unable to keep our thoughts on things that are peaceful or positive.  Some of us, myself included, tend to fall asleep rather quickly but wake up within a short period of time with the weight of the world on our shoulders.  If you are having a difficult time sleeping because of <a title="Mind Vacation Meditation" href="http://mindvacationmeditation.com" target="_blank">stress</a>, there are some things that you can do which may help.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">First of all, you should try supplementing with a good multivitamin along with taking some quality vitamin B.  It may surprise you to learn that vitamin deficiencies may often cause stress in individuals, especially panic attacks.  Taking these vitamins will help to restore a little bit of the balance in our body and you might find that after a few days, it is a little bit easier for you to put the stress of the day behind you and drift off to sleep.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Another thing that you should do is to prepare your mind and body every night in order to get some sleep.  Avoid anything that is going to engage the mind for about an hour before bedtime.  This can include anything from the type of television shows and movies that we watch to the conversations that we take part in.  To the best of your ability, go to a quiet part of the house and spend a little bit of time listening to some relaxing music or reading something relaxing, such as poetry.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Warm baths and aromatherapy may also go a long way in helping us to relax and allow our minds to forget about the stress of the day.  The real secret is to allow all of these things to take you to someplace that you need to be and not to allow the stress to return back to your mind.  While you are still in this relaxed state, slip into your bed and allow yourself to drift off to sleep.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">It may take a little bit of practice before you are really efficient at doing these things but once you get the hang of it, you would be surprised with how quickly you will be able to do it.  Once you are able to sleep through the night, it will make any effort that you put into it well worth it.</span></p>
